“La Petite Quaintrelle”

I’m absolutely thrilled to announce my exhibition “La Petite Quaintrelle” at the Newport Visual Arts Center on the beautiful Oregon coast!. Save the date 8/7/21, I’d love to see you at the opening from 12-4 pm!
NVAC is located at 777 NW Beach Drive, Newport, Oregon 97365 and is open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12-4 pm. The show runs through September 26. This will be a taste of my upcoming “Quaintrelle” exhibition at the Arlington Museum of Art this Fall.
You may remember I pre-announced a Summer 2020 show at NVAC, but as we all know, 2020 didn’t exactly go as planned for most of us. The pandemic changed all of our lives and decimated public events. I have done a lot of reflecting on the past year while I was safe at home. Despite the changes to our public lives, I’m inspired by those who embraced solitude and quiet time and learned new skills and hobbies. Society has witnessed quantum leaps in digital adoption but also in cooking and gardening. We all have an understanding now that our future plans may not be so certain after all. But we’ve learned to accept that whatever happens, we will persevere. We will reset our buttons, re-evaluate our core values and throw love and support at our loved ones and ourselves.

I’m happy to be getting my mojo back and excited to immerse myself in my studio to prepare for these two shows. I am filled with gratitude for grants from the Oregon Arts Commission and the Ford Family Foundation both of which help artists’ dreams come true. I really hope to see you on 8/7 in Newport!
